Game Description
Flag football is very similar to American football except there is no tackling involved. Players wear a plastic waist belt that is clipped on with “flag” hanging down around the belt. Defensive players have to stop their opponents from scoring a touchdown by pulling on their flag and thereby ending that play in that same spot on the field. 
Basic Rules
The specific rules of flag football vary by league. However they all share in common their replication of the rules of traditional American Football. Some rules are often omitted or simplified to reflect the more recreational nature of the game, desire to avoid physical contact and injury, and the generally smaller number of participating players per side.
